Merger with ANLA under review

PLANET may be only a few months old, but already talks are under way to join forces with a long-standing and respected association to create an even stronger, more unified voice for members. Shortly after the merger of ALCA and PLCAA, a Joint Merger Task Force convened to discuss a possible merger between the American Nursery and Landscape Association (ANLA) and PLANET. Discussions have been positive from both groups’ perspective, to the extent that the PLANET Board expects to sign a formal Letter of Intent (LOI) in July to merge ANLA and PLANET. The actual merger is still several months away, pending completion of the task force’s work, approval of both boards of directors, and support from the ANLA Senate and membership and from the PLANET membership.
