The Interior Awards Banquet will be held at the Tropical Plant Industry Exhibition (TPIE), in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Friday, January 20, 2006, from 5:30 p.m.–10:00 p.m. The banquet will celebrate the recipients of this year’s interior awards in PLANET’s Environmental Improvement Awards Program.

It’s time to apply for AEF scholarships 
 
The ALCA Educational Foundation (AEF) will once again recognize outstanding college students enrolled in landscape contracting and horticulture programs at two-year and four-year colleges and universities. The 2006 scholarship applications are now available and must be submitted by January 20, 2006. The scholarships will be presented during the closing ceremony at PLANET’s Student Career Days, held March 23-26, 2006, at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

Plants at Work curricula approved as National AIA Continuing Education System  
 
McRae Anderson, CLP, ASLA; MJ Gilhooley of Plants at Work; and the PLANET Interior Specialty Group announced that their curricula has been selected by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) to provide Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to its membership. Plants at Work will soon be publishing a training schedule and fee details for investors to learn about the approved program.
